Hiring High Volume SERVER for Busy Midtown Location(Midtown West)The Mean Fiddler is a well-known Irish sports bar with DJs every night & a menu of American & Irish pub grub. The Mean Fiddler is the flagship location for Pmac's Hospitality, and one of the most popular destinations in the Times Square & Hell's Kitchen neighborhoods.The Mean Fiddler is seeking a full-time server. Must have open availability and able to work nights and weekends; including holidays. The schedule will be a mix of day shifts, happy hour shifts, and late night shifts. The Mean Fiddler is a fast-paced, high-volume establishment that is open nightly until 4am. The Mean Fiddler specializes in signature cocktails and an upbeat party atmosphere. ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF TWO YEARS OF HIGH-VOLUME EXPERIENCE WORKING. Applicants without serving or restaurant experience need not apply.Duties: - Greet guests with warm and friendly smile. Serve food & beverages to customers- Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink selection- Maintain a clean and organized restaurant storage areas- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for alcohol consumption- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction- Monitor customer behavior and intervene as necessary to prevent overconsumption or underage drinking- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders- Assist with banquet or catering events as needed Qualifications: - Previous experience as a server in a restaurant or catering setting preferred- Knowledge of retail math and basic math skills for cash handling- Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment- Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism- Must be at least 21 years old (or legal drinking age in the specific location)- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (such as kegs or cases of alcohol) Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
